What's New

The SPimps have split from their label One Little Indian. Here's the story(from NME.com):

SNEAKER PIMPS have split from their record label ONE LITTLE INDIAN.

In a statement released today (August 8), the band said they would like "to thank everyone at Clean Up/One Little Indian for their hard work and...agreeing to an amicable departure".

One Little Indian released both of the band’s studio albums 'Becoming X' and 'Splinter' - the latter recorded after the departure of singer Kelli Dayton.

It is unclear who the band plan to sign to now, but they may release material own their own label, Splinter Recordings - home to other artists Trash Money, The Servant and Robots In Disguise.

Sneaker Pimps are currently in the studio working on new material, with a release anticipated next year.

Hi,
Hope you guys like the new look...I was kinda getting tired of the other one. Oh, well...No new news, but if any of you haven't read about why I haven't posted any updates about Kelli(this was first posted on the third), here ya go:

"This isn't an official update, there's no new news that I know of(I updated my "music page," though)...Just making a few comments in light of all the emails I've been getting and the nasty post on my guestbook...For those of you who want to know why I don't post info about Kelli on this page, well, here's my reasoning:

I don't put info about Kelli on the page because she's not in the band anymore(it's a SPimps fanpage, not a Kelli fanpage)...And I know I'm sounding like a broken record when I say this but, I don't think it's fair to say that Kelli made the band, because, well, she was only the singer, not a major songwriter...

And another thing, the quality of the SPimps' music has not deteriorated since Kelli's been out of the band...Kelli did not play an important role in the songwriting for Becoming X-All the songs were written by Howe/Corner/Pickering-not Howe/Corner/Dayton...Yes, their sound has changed, but in my opinion, the quality of their music has improved...

I apologize if I deeply offend anyone...I know many of you believe that Kelli's the best thing since sliced bread, but I felt that this needed to be said...If you want to know what's going on with Kelli, check the archived messages on my Yahoo club, I post what info I find there(though, there hasn't been any new info about her since late last year, 'cause I haven't heard anything)...

And, dead fish, Kelli is NOT a DIVA; Hello! She's not Diana Ross..."
